What can I expect from an information session?

Okay, so you've had a chance to do our quiz and read our Foster Care Information Kit to see if foster caring is right for you and your lifestyle. You feel comfortable with what you know and believe that you can make a difference for a child in need and offer them a safe and stable home environment. So what’s next?

If you’re still curious about becoming a foster carer and want answers to questions specific to your situation, then attending a Foster Care Information Session could be the next step for you.

Information sessions are just that, a sharing of information about foster caring.

Topics that will be covered at the information session include:

Our foster care team also bust some myths around foster caring and cover expectations around meeting the child’s emotional, physical and material needs; working towards the best interests of the child at all times; and a willingness to support the child to maintain positive relationships with their family.
